SPARC Volunteer Coach of the Year Awards

The SPARC Volunteer Coach Awards are designed to recognise coaches at a club or school level (not at representative level) for their volunteer, unpaid coaching contributions.

Nominations are being called for the SPARC Volunteer Coach Awards 2010 to help recognise some of the 70,000 parents, grandparents, teachers, and community minded people acting as volunteer coaches throughout New Zealand.

All nominated coaches receive a letter of thanks for being a great coach and go into a draw to win one of 17 $100 Stirling Sports vouchers! Three coaches in each region are also awarded regional titles, receive a generous supply of Watties products and coaching apparel from SPARC.  One of the three also wins a coach development opportunity with SPARC.

Recognition Events:
There will be a breakfast session in Nelson on Wednesdy, 13 October to recognise the success of local coaches.

There will be a morning or evening session (TBA) in Blenheim on Friday, 15 October to recognise the success of local coaches.

One winner from the Nelson/Blenheim region will win travel, accommodation and entry to SPARC's national coaching convention (date TBD), where the winners will learn from and mingle with high profile regional and national coaches.
