Marlborough Sports Administrator of the Year

Most clubs and sporting organisations have those "special people", members who strive selflessly for the betterment of the sport they love. They are the quiet "grafters", the ones who get things done on time and in an efficient manner.

Each year Sport Marlborough awards the Sports Administrator of the Year Award at the annual Marlborough Sportsperson of the Year Awards Dinner in November.  This award is in recognition of the outstanding work undertaken by administrators in the development and assistance in their sport.

Nominees should meet the following criteria:

In general terms this award will cover "office bearers" of clubs or organisations, i.e. secretary, treasurer, club captain, committee but does not include coaches.
Will have demonstrated a commitment and dedication to the sport of their choice for a period of 12 month or more.
Nominees must be a resident of the Marlborough area.

Nominations for the 2008 Sports Administrator of the Year close on Friday 7 November.
