Active Movement

Sport Buller's Programme Coordinator, Vicki Griffiths is working in kindergartens and other pre-school settings to upskill and advise early childhood educators, parents and caregivers on fun and appropriate ways to make physical activity a part of young childrens' lives.

Vicki Griffiths is available to come to your kindergarten or pre-school to show you how to use the SPARC resource 'Active Movement/Koringa Hihiko'.  This set of 14 booklets covers a wide variety of developmental areas for young children.

For parents of young children we deliver a seminar called 'Parents as First Coaches' which explains how important the parent is in the physical and cognitive development of their children.

Following on from these seminars, practical workshops are available for parents and caregivers to gain valuable know-how to assist the development of their children.
